New ‘Millionaire’ Host Cedric The Entertainer Makes Aces of Comedy Debut at The Mirage December 29-­30

welcomes actor, comedian and new “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” host Cedric The Entertainer when he makes his Aces of Comedy debut December 29-­ 30 at the resort. 

Cedric, best known for his performances in “The Original Kings of Comedy,” “Barbershop” and “Madagascar” franchises, will take the Terry Fator Theatre stage at 10 p.m. each evening.

Cedric’s universal appeal, versatility and career achievements span throughout his live performances and television and film appearances, solidifying his place as one of the premier entertainers in the world. Breaking new ground this fall as a game show host, Cedric joins “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” for its 12th season in national syndication. Cedric will next lend his voice to Disney Pixar’s upcoming film “Planes,” set for theatrical release in August. In 2012, his sitcom “The Soul Man” debuted on TV Land. Currently in its second season, the hit show stars Cedric as the quirky Reverend Boyce Ballentine, a former R&B music star turned minister.

As an entertainer and comedian, the multi-talented funnyman holds a variety of accolades. Cedric’s first-ever HBO comedy special “Cedric The Entertainer: Taking You Higher,” was the network’s highest rated special in 2006. Other notable honors include the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) Award of Excellence in Television Programming for his FOX Television series “Cedric The Entertainer Presents…” Cedric also received a record-breaking four coonsecutive NAACP Image Awards for “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series” for his portrayal of Coach Cedric Robinson on WB’s “The Steve Harvey Show.” Cedric was the recipient of the 1996 Richard Pryor Comic of the Year Award from BET for his groundbreaking work as host of “Def Comedy Jam.”
