Comedienne Maryellen Hooper to Headline The Improv at Harrah's Oct. 8-13
Comedienne Maryellen Hooper will headline at the world-famous Improv at Harrah’s Las Vegas October 8-13.  The Improv is the longest-running comedy club on the Las Vegas Strip.

Each week, The Improv showcases three of the funniest and freshest faces in comedy, creating a show that is always unique and definitely funny. The comedians who will perform October 8-October 13 are:

Maryellen Hooper: Maryellen Hooper’s act is an ever-evolving story about her life as a woman, wife and mother. Never crude or offensive, her accounts of life’s little annoyances leave audiences exhausted from laughter. A veteran in the world of stand-up, Hooper’s comedy has taken her from clubs and colleges to theaters and television. Hooper has appeared on “The Dennis Miller Show,” “The Martin Short Show,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and has had her own 30-minute special on Comedy Central called “Lounge Lizards.”

Joel Lindley: Joel Lindley has been writing and performing his dark, edgy comedy for over 15 years. Lindley has written for CBS television as well as Comedy Central. Lindley has been seen on MTV’s “Half Hour Comedy Hour,” “Conan O’Brien” and is a regular on the “Bob & Tom Show,” a syndicated radio show aired across the country.

Avi Liberman: Avi Liberman’s quirky style has made him a favorite in comedy clubs from Los Angeles to New York. Liberman has performed stand-up comedy on CBS’s “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” and NBC’s “Friday Night!” He has appeared at the prestigious Montreal “Just for Laughs Festival” since 2001 and has successfully arranged widely acclaimed stand-up comedy tours in Israel to help boost morale while donating all of the proceeds to a charity.

Shows are at 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Tickets are $29.05 or $44.95 (plus applicable taxes and fees) for VIP tickets that include special seating, an Improv t-shirt and post-show meet-and-greet with the comics. Special two-for-one tickets are also available for locals for the 10 p.m. show. Tickets are available at Harrah’s Box Office (702-369-5223) and online at www.harrahslasvegas.com.
