The Showbiz Roast of Frank Marino

Frank Marino
The Showbiz Roast put the queen of Vegas, Frank Marino, in the hot seat in its third iteration at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino. In honor of Frank’s long running headliner show on the Strip, Roasters and Guests came dressed in drag (Photo credit: khanhx.com)

Producer Andy Walmsley feels that he has perfected his formula in this third round with just the right number of roasters, time limits, musical productions, as well as walk-on guests.

There were definitely some surprise gems in the show: the interview of Montecore (played by Brian Thomas), surprise walk-on by Mateo Amieva, Mark Shunnock’s dance number, as well as Frank’s parting words at the close of the show.

The roast also benefited the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy
