The December edition of “Mondays Dark” with Mark Shunock, who plays Lonny the narrator in the hit musical “Rock Of Ages,” will take place on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 9:00 pm at Body English Nightclub & Afterhours inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Following the success of the premiere event that raised nearly $7,000 for Opportunity Village last month, 100 percent of the proceeds from the December show will benefit AFAN.
“For our December event we have some great musical acts from Las Vegas and Broadway,” says Shunock. “Since we are so close to Christmas, expect a lot of fun holiday music to really get everyone in the spirit of the season!”
Among the artists lending their talent and time to “Mondays Dark” in December are: MO5AIC, from MTV’s Top Pop Group and America’s Got Talent, currently performing at LVH; Deven May of “Jersey Boys;” Chris Phillips of Zowie Bowie; Anne Martinez of “Dancing Queen,” Broadway’s Natalie Toro; Skye Miles, Jennifer Romans, Cheryl Daro and cast members from “Rock of Ages” and Chippendales.
Every month Shunock will gather an eclectic cast of guests including stars from Hollywood, the Strip, musical acts, athletes and celebrity chefs for 90 minutes of chat, entertainment – and a lot of laughs. “Mondays Dark” will partner with a different Las Vegas-based charity to raise $10,000 per month for each charity, with an estimated grand total of more $100,000 over the next twelve months between ticket sales and silent auction items. The framework of the evening will be modeled after a talk show format with topics, musical guests and very “off the cuff” moments.
Tickets range from $20-$50 and can be purchased by visiting www.MondaysDark.com and are limited to 200 tickets per event. VIP table reservations and bottle service are available by calling 702-485-1262. “Mondays Dark” will occur every third Monday night of the month at Body English inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at 9:00 pm.
