Flora Aghababyan, chief cake designer for Wynn Las Vegas and Encore, has skillfully created a 3-foot gingerbread replica of the signature bronze building surrounded by the boutiques of Wynn and Encore Esplanades (Photo credit: Eric Jamison/Studio J Inc).
This entirely edible masterpiece was handcrafted from 4,500 gingerbread tiles, rolled fondant and sugar. The confection weighs more than 295 pounds and took 21 days to construct. The turrets, facades and towers all house various Wynn and Encore retailers, with their logos meticulously reproduced in sugar icing and fondant. A few of the gingerbread shops included are Brioni, Cartier, CHANEL, Chloé, Chopard, Dior, Hermés, Loro Piana, Louis Vuitton, Nicholas Kirkwood, Oscar de la Renta, Swim, and Wynn and Company Watches.
This holiday treat is on display at The Buffet throughout the holiday season.
At the Buffet at Wynn, voted “Best Buffet in Las Vegas” by USA Today, diners can indulge in 15 live-action cooking stations. With the exception of Christmas and New Year’s, guests can enjoy breakfast for $20.99 and lunch for $25.99, Monday through Friday. Dinner, Saturday through Thursday, $38.99 and Friday and Saturday, $39.99. Brunch is available on Saturday and Sunday for $32.99; unlimited sparkling wine can be added for $15 per person.
The Buffet is open daily for breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.; lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and for dinner 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
