Today at 10 a.m., Cox Communications will donate $10,000 to the Teacher EXCHANGE, an initiative of The Public Education Foundation that provides materials, equipment, supplies and furniture to Clark County public school teachers and administrators.
The $10,000 was raised during a three-month campaign earlier this year in which Cox donated $10 for each new Cox service (including Cox Digital Telephone, Digital Cable or High Speed Internet) ordered by existing or new customers.
The Teacher EXCHANGE is a re-use center for Clark County public school teachers and administrators. Donations of new and reusable materials, office supplies, surplus materials, computers, equipment and furniture are collected from businesses and individuals and provided at no charge to teachers to support classroom instruction.
Donations to the Teacher EXCHANGE help teachers save approximately $1,500 which they typically spend out of their own pockets on classroom materials each year. For more information or to donate to the Teacher EXCHANGE, call 702-939-6659 or visit www.ThePEF.org.
