Understanding the importance of networking and keeping the brain stimulated, Henderson Libraries and local businesses Imagine Marketing and the Entrepreneur Advisors have come up with a way to keep the community’s business-minded individuals moving, mingling and learning: a Business Book Club.
The inaugural Business Book Club meeting will take place from 6-7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the Green Valley Library – located at 2797 N. Green Valley Pkwy., just off Sunset Road. The group will meet at the same time and location on the second Tuesday of each month.
Henderson Libraries, together with Imagine Marketing and Entrepreneur Advisors, will host the monthly gathering to discuss business-related books and encourage networking. The first book highlighted will be “Get Them to Come to You” by Scott Ginsberg. The book covers a variety of business practices, including how to be somewhat predictable, how to build a timeline of credibility, how to maximize your Web presence, how to become an award-winning blogger and how to make your message stick.
October’s book will be “Groundswell” by Charlene Li and Josh Bernoff, and a number of books will be presented as options for the following months’ discussions.
