Grammy Award winner Larry Hart won “Best Male Gospel Artist” at the 2009 Las Vegas Gospel Jubilee Awards held on Sunday, Aug. 23 at Cashman Theater. The annual event was presented by The Black Music Association and Academy, The Answer Newspaper, and Rick Warren.
This year’s theme was “Stand and Shout” and there were seven more categories.
Hart, who has most recently written, produced and starred in his Concert of “Praise” at South Point, is part of the successful musical Hart family that recorded 25 gospel, two country and two pop albums.
As a songwriter, Hart has sold more than 30 million Gold and Platinum albums. He received his first Grammy Award nomination at age 16 and won the Grammy Award at age 19.
