Toros Las Vegas Bloodless Bullfighting at South Point Equestrian Arena

Don Bull presents Toros Las Vegas Bloodless Bullfighting was held this week at South Point Equestrian Arena at South Point Casino in Las Vegas NV (Photo: © Erik Kabik/ RETNA/ www.erikkabik.com). There will be another day of Toros Las Vegas today and then returning to Las Vegas on Sunday, Sept. 27, Monday, Sept. 28, Tuesday, Sept. 29 and Wednesday, Sept. 30.

The Matador and The Banderilleros, all wearing their monteras (hats worn by Matadors) help prep the bull for the Matador. The Matador first gets the bull to chase the pink and yellow capes, then thrusts banderillas into the bull (velcro tipped as not to wound or inflict pain on the bull).

The Matador then removes his hat (montera) and challenges the bull with a red cape, finishing the bull with a targeted banderilla. In bloodless bullfighting the final Velcro tipped banderilla is stuck to the bulls back signifying the end of the match. No animals were harmed in this event.

The Matadors included Matador Matador Alfredo Rios “El Conde”, Matador Julio Benitez “El Cordobes” and Matador Eulalio Lopez “Zotoluco”.
