Communities In Schools of Nevada (CIS of Nevada) and 95.5 The Bull will host the first ever CIS Country Cookout on The Green at Town Square on Saturday, May 30, from 5 – 8 p.m. (Photo credit: Pot Liquor Contemporary American Smokehouse).
Food lovers and music fans will unite for a good old-fashioned springtime barbecue, all while raising funds for the Nevada chapter of the nation’s leading dropout prevention and intervention program, CIS of Nevada.
Guests of the Country Cookout will enjoy delicious down-home barbecue, smoked and served by Pot Liquor Contemporary American Smokehouse. Drinks will also be served, so music lovers can sit back and sip their suds while listening to the tunes of Las Vegas’ own country and southern rock tribute band, Thrillbilly Deluxe. In addition to the food and music, Las Vegas Harley Davidson will have one of its classic ride simulators on hand for guests to demo.
“The Country Cookout is the perfect opportunity for people to experience something fun and different, all while contributing to a great cause,” said Diane Fearon, chief executive officer of CIS of Nevada. “The support of our community is crucial, for students from high-risk, low-income backgrounds, especially around graduation time. We’re thrilled our partners at 95.5 The Bull, Town Square and Pot Liquor were so willing to help create a wonderful new event to support Communities In Schools.”
Tickets to the CIS Country Cookout are $25 for adults, $15 for children under 17 years old and are available on CIS of Nevada’s Website. Children two years of age and under are free.
