UFC Bantamweight Miesha Tate will host a pre-fight pool party at Sapphire Pool & Dayclub in Las Vegas on Saturday, August 1, 2015.
The pre-fight pool party, hosted by “Cupcake” Tate, will start at noon and end at six, all leading up to UFC 190: Ronda Rousey vs. Bethe Correia.
Miesha Tate will also be hosting the UFC 190 viewing party inside Sapphire!
Commonly referred to as “Cupcake” and “Takedown,” Miesha Tate is a celebrated mixed martial artist with accomplishments and accolades including: Strikeforce Bantamweight Champion, Freestyle Cage Fighting Champion, 2011 Female Fighter of the Year, and more. Tate is known for her extensive knowledge of ground-based arts including wrestling, jiu-jitsu, and submission defense. In 2011 Tate won the Strikeforce Bantamweight Championship by becoming the first woman to ever submit Marloes Coenen in an MMA bout. In UFC 183, Tate out-grappled Olympic wrestling medalist Sara McMann for the win. Following her first bout with champion Ronda Rousey in 2012, Rousey described Tate as “much more savvy on the ground than I anticipated.”
MMA fight fans can also see Mauricio “Shogun” Rua battle Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Saturday night.
