An inviting new addition to the Downtown Las Vegas scene – The Filament – is now open at The Fremont Hotel and Casino (Pictured: The Filament – Electric Chair Martini).
Featuring a selection of signature cocktails, craft beers and frozen novelty favorites, the Filament offers “Beers. Yards. Liquor. Quicker.” in the heart of the Fremont Street Experience.
Borrowing its name from its distinctive Edison light bulb accents, The Filament (#FilamentLV) is conveniently located steps from the Fremont Street Experience’s Third Street Stage. Polished pony kegs, colorful drinks, dark wood fixtures and a custom-made pewter bar top create a smart and polished aesthetic, the perfect environment for socializing with friends.
Skilled bartenders will create the bar’s menu of signature cocktails, while engaging and interacting with guests. Specialty cocktails include the “Filament Mule,” a ginger beer and Tito’s Vodka mix with a kiss of lime; the “Fully Charged Colada,” featuring a blend of five favorite rums for a well-rounded and refreshing drink; and the “Bright Idea,” an invigorating sour-melon cocktail of Ketel One vodka, Midori melon liqueur and sour mix. And for beer lovers, the menu’s wide selection of more than 30 brews – including a selection of microbrews — offers something for every taste.
But patrons on the go will find The Filament a convenient option as well. With a walk-up bar facing Third Street, The Filament offers customers a grab and go option for craft beers and frozen drinks, served in distinctive novelty yard glasses.
“As we celebrate Boyd Gaming’s 40th year in business, we’re proud to continue reinvesting in Las Vegas, the birthplace of our Company,” said Jim Sullivan, Vice President and General Manager of the Fremont. “With The Filament, we’re creating an experience that’s the perfect fit for today’s Downtown Las Vegas – an attractive, social environment that will appeal to a wide range of visitors.”
The Filament is the latest installment in an ongoing effort to enhance amenities at Boyd Gaming properties across the Las Vegas Valley, joining the recent debuts of the California Noodle House at the California Hotel and Casino and The Game sports bar at Suncoast Hotel and Casino. A number of additional projects are scheduled at Boyd Gaming properties across southern Nevada throughout 2015 and 2016.
