The LINQ Promenade – Caesars Entertainment’s open-air shopping, dining and entertainment district located at the center of the Las Vegas Strip – celebrates throughout the month of October with special events, breast cancer awareness efforts and a grand Halloween party (Pictured: Halloween 2014 at The LINQ Promenade).
FOOTBALL AND BASEBALL SEASON:
As a popular sports hub, The LINQ Promenade offers 12 unique locations ideal for watching football and baseball games, from the first outpost of New York’s infamous Brooklyn Bowl boasting more than 75 TVs to Yard House, which features 160 draft beer options on its menu. Guests at The LINQ Promenade have a choice of more than 306 TV screens to view the games, along with a wide variety of food and drink promotions such as $5-$6 beer specials and $6-$7 Bloody Mary specials at Tilted Kilt for Sunday football.
BREAST CANCER AWARENESS:
Throughout October, Purple Zebra self-serve daiquiri bar will offer 20 percent off select drinks in honor of breast cancer awareness.
On Thursday, Oct. 22, the High Roller – the world’s tallest observation wheel at The LINQ Promenade – will light up pink to kick off the 2015 Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas and its Pink Promise campaign, supporting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Additionally, some PBR Riders plan to experience the High Roller and enjoy the breathtaking views of the city in an air-conditioned cabin at 550 feet in the air.
Oct. 22-31: The LINQ Promenade will once again be the place to celebrate the ghoulish season with Halloween décor beginning on Thursday, Oct. 22. On the following Thursday, Oct. 29 from 6-10 p.m., local families can participate in the annual Triq or Treat event throughout the promenade with face painters and atmospheric street musicians while retailers hand out candy. A Thriller flash mob will also perform on Friday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. On Halloween, street musicians, face painters and creepy atmospheric elements such as stilt walkers will take over the promenade. That night, The LINQ Promenade will host a Halloween costume contest from 9-9:30 p.m. for guests 21 and over with $5,000 in prizes, a live band performance from 7-11 p.m. at The LINQ fountain stage and drink specials from Modelo, Corona and Bacardi.
Additionally, the High Roller has its own plans for Halloween, welcoming riders to the official Zombie Zone. The world’s tallest observation wheel will incorporate themed décor, as well as actors and staff dressed as zombies throughout the experience from 6 p.m. to midnight. The High Roller will also be lit on Oct. 31 with a Halloween-themed light pattern.
Starting Oct. 1: ART BLOQ Thursdays will feature The ISI Group (The Industry Supporting Industry Group) artists creating live murals and paintings in the promenade every Thursday from 7-11 p.m. starting Oct. 1 through the end of the year (with a few exceptions such as Thanksgiving Day). Some of their artwork will also be available for purchase. Additionally, Phase IV of the LINQ Mural Project begins Oct. 15. The ISI Group is a forward-thinking local art agency established in 2011 that supports the underground arts to unite artists and art lovers like never before.
Oct. 12: Flour & Barley Brick Pizza Oven will host the “East vs. West” Beer Challenge from 6-9 p.m. featuring Firestone Walker Brewing Company and Brooklyn Brewery. Each brewery will showcase four of its best beers for the coveted title of “fan favorite.” Along with the National Beer Wholesalers Association representatives, the general public is also invited to attend.
