Prior to her show at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Saturday, Oct. 24, Britney Spears invited children serviced by the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation (NCCF), as well as NCCF President and CEO Jeffrey Gordon, backstage in order to present the foundation with a check for $120,000 (Photo credit: Denise Truscello / WireImage).
Over the past year, $1 of every ticket purchased to Britney’s headlining Las Vegas show, “Britney: Piece of Me,” has been donated to the NCCF as part of her partnership with the organization.
The NCCF is a local non-profit organization providing services in Southern Nevada since 1993, whose goal is to improve the quality of life for critically ill children and their families living in the community.
Britney recently announced that she has extended her wildly popular Las Vegas show two more years, through Dec. 2017. Since opening in Dec. 2013, Britney: Piece of Me has received rave reviews from both critics and fans alike, with the show being voted the “Best Overall Show” and “Best Bachelorette Party” by readers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal earlier this year.
