On Tuesday, Jan. 19, The Shade Tree received a visit from members of Hakkasan Group, sharing with the non-profit organization recent fundraising and donation efforts.
The global hospitality company raised more than $63,000 and collected one ton of goods over the course of several weeks throughout the holiday season. The donations assist The Shade Tree shelter clients who are victims of domestic violence, homelessness and sex trafficking in Southern Nevada and beyond. In addition, Hakkasan Group employees volunteered more than 450 hours serving the women and children living at the shelter.
The donations and check were presented to The Shade Tree board members by Hakkasan Group CEO, Neil Moffitt.
For over 25 years The Shade Tree, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, has been dedicated to improving the lives of women, children and their pets affected by domestic violence and crisis in the Las Vegas valley. As the only organization with an animal shelter on campus, named Noah’s Animal House, The Shade Tree brings families together with their pets and connects them with assistance and services. The Shade Tree is the largest shelter of its kind in Nevada and is the only 24-hour accessible shelter designed specifically to meet the needs of women and children in Southern Nevada.
