Tivoli Village at Queensridge Resumes Construction for 2010 Opening

Tivoli Village at Queensridge, a mixed-use urban lifestyle development on the bustling corner of Rampart and Alta, has resumed construction to prepare for its Holiday 2010 opening. The retail, restaurant, entertainment and office project is the only ground-up development in the Western U.S. moving forward with opening plans.

“We are eager to accelerate our development and fortunate to have secure financing, especially in a time when no other mixed-use project like ours is continuing construction,” said Tivoli Village Executive Vice President Patrick Done. “Once it opens, Tivoli will fill a void in this area and act as our community’s ‘family room,’ with quaint shopping and lifestyle options in a friendly urban setting.”

Tivoli Village, citing concerns from tenants regarding market conditions, had slowed construction of the project in December of 2008 in anticipation of a more favorable economic landscape. Now elevating its construction pace, a late 2010 soft opening is anticipated, with a grand opening event to take place in the following months. Tivoli will open with a distinctive list of tenants, including new-to-the-market restaurants, fashion and entertainment concepts.

Tivoli Village’s old-world design takes its inspiration from authentic European style and architecture. It will include approximately 370,000 square feet of space, which will be divided into retail, office, restaurant and entertainment uses. The urban lifestyle center will also feature pedestrian-friendly streets with cobblestone walkways, scenic landscaping design, and convenient amenities such as an integrated below-ground parking structure with direct access to the surrounding shops. Limited above-ground parking will also be available, adding to the center’s metropolitan vibe without disturbing the pedestrian experience.

Tivoli Village is being developed through a partnership with IDB Development Corporation, Ltd. – Israel’s largest diversified business group with total assets of more than $30 billion – and Great Wash Park LLC.
