Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto weighed in today for their sold-out welterweight fight at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino (Photo: © Erik Kabik/ RETNA/ www.erikkabik.com). Cotto tipped the scales at 145; Pacquiao at 144.
The championship belt at stake is Cotto’s World Boxing Organization title. The fighters posed briefly and spoke to their fans. The fighter’s respective trainers, Freddie Roach and Joe Santiago exchanged words and had to be separated.
The Pacquiao and Cotto fans took turns shouting each other down. Actor Jeremy Piven, announcer Michael Buffer and promoter Bob Arum were also on hand.
Cotto wore a pair of “The Invincible IRONMAN” underwear.
