During November, Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will turn its fountain teal and collect donations for Alzheimer’s Foundation of America in honor of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and the AFA’s Light the World campaign (Photo © Erik Kabik / www.ErikKabik.com).
All change tossed in the teal fountain, as well as the center’s indoor rainstorm, through Nov. 30 will support Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s mission of providing optimal care and services to individuals with dementia. The fountain will remain teal in between regularly-scheduled water shows, which take place every hour from noon to 11 p.m.
The fountain at Miracle Mile Shops joins a list of nearly 200 world landmarks lighting up teal for the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s Light the World campaign and Alzheimer’s Awareness Month including LAX Airport in Los Angeles, Calif., Madison Square Garden in New York City, MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Sichuan Tower in Chengdu, China and the fountains at Trafalgar Square in London, England.
Miracle Mile Shops’ partnership with Alzheimer’s Foundation of America is part of its ongoing Caring, Giving, Changing campaign, which raises funds for nonprofit programs and organizations through community sponsorships, additional partnerships and a number of cash and in-kind donations.
The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, based in New York, is a non-profit organization that unites more than 2,600 member organizations nationwide with the goal of providing optimal care and services to individuals living with dementia, and to their caregivers and families.
