In honor of his loss on “America’s Got Talent” and Mr. Piffles’ 9th birthday, Sunday, November 13, 2016 was officially declared Piff the Magic Dragon and Mr. Piffles Day in the city of Las Vegas, by Mayor Carolyn Goodman.
In celebration of this historic and monumental day, Piff the Magic Dragon has announced a portion of all proceeds from ticket sales on Monday, November 14, 2016 through Wednesday, November 16, 2016 will go directly to the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NSPCA).
“Mr Piffles and I are thrilled to have a day named after us, putting us squarely in the company of Christopher Columbus, Martin Luther King and Doris,” said Piff the Magic Dragon. “I went on ‘America’s Got Talent’ with a dream – to land my own show in Las Vegas and get One Million Dollars in cold, hard gold. Well, one out of two ain’t bad. Having been at Flamingo of Las Vegas for more than a year, outlasting even the winner, it’s time to give back. And what better way to do that than pay tribute to the fantastic work of the NSPCA whose No Kill animal shelter will ensure I have a steady supply of stand-in Mr. Piffles for years to come.”
Piff the Magic Dragon performs Monday through Wednesday at 8 p.m. inside Bugsy’s Cabaret at Flamingo Las Vegas. Tickets start at $68.62 plus tax and service fees and can be purchased in-person at the Flamingo Box Office, by phone at (702) 733-3333 or (800) 221-7299 or by visiting www.flamingolasvegas.com. Guests must be 18 years or older. All dates for Piff the Magic Dragon at Flamingo Las Vegas, as well as details of his current US tour, and tickets can be found at www.piffthemagicdragon.com.
Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to the belief that every life is precious. Funded entirely by private donations, the Society operates a no-kill shelter in Las Vegas for animals who have been abused, neglected or abandoned, or otherwise face homelessness and danger. It works to provide medical care, rehabilitation and adoption services for thousands of animals each year and then place them in loving, forever homes.
