After eight incredible years of star-studded events, Fighters Only Magazine today is proud to announce that the ninth edition of its annual World MMA Awards inside The Venetian Las Vegas is now underway (Pictured: Last year’s Fight of the Year Winner Robbie Lawler).
The official fan voting website, worldmmaawards.com, will go live starting next Monday, January 2 and will feature all of the 2017 Nominees who made the past year another MMA success story. Voting will conclude on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time, with the awards taking place on Thursday, March 2 back on Las Vegas Boulevard inside the world-famous Venetian Theatre.
The Fighters Only World Mixed Martial Awards honor the fighters and the executives who make history for the sport each year. The who’s who of the MMA always grace the red carpet ceremony, along with familiar names and faces in music, television and film.
Fighters Only designates a panel of MMA industry experts to select the award nominees, and in true MMA tradition, the fans choose winners by casting their votes online at worldmmaawards.com throughout the month of January. The most anticipated awards include ‘Fighter of the Year’, ‘Knockout of the Year’ and ‘Upset of the Year.’
