Known for bringing wonder and delight to millions of spectators across the globe, Cirque du Soleil is thrilled to commemorate three remarkable milestones in Las Vegas this month, including 2,000 performances at Michael Jackson ONE, 9,000 performances at “O” and 6,000 performances at KÀ (Pictured: Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil – Photo courtesy of Cirque du Soleil).
Kicking off the celebrations, Michael Jackson ONE performed its 2,000th show at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Monday, Aug. 14. Guests received a complimentary show poster in honor of the special day and delighted in the explosive finale as streamers and confetti showered the theatre. Backed by the Estate of Michael Jackson, Michael Jackson ONE is home to priceless memorabilia including the blue-and-white pinstriped suit Jackson wore in “Smooth Criminal.” Since opening in 2013, ONE has entertained more than 3.5 million guests and 246,481 buckets of popcorn have been sold.

On Thursday, Aug. 17, the aquatic masterpiece “O” celebrated its 9,000th splash at Bellagio Resort & Casino. Before the show, the cast and crew indulged in snow cones, ice cream and other sweet treats as they reveled in the production’s unprecedented success, with the show also taking to Facebook to share the exciting news. Established in October 1998, “O” has dazzled more than 15 million fans at its state-of-the-art theatre inside Bellagio. The production features more Olympic athletes than any other Cirque production, with 122 technicians and 77 performers bringing the show to life in a 1.5 million-gallon pool of water.
