Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas kicked off Las Vegas’ only authentic Oktoberfest celebration this weekend with magicians of the century, Siegfried & Roy, striking the first mallet on Friday, Sept. 15 (Pictured: Franz Krondorfer, Klaus Gastager, Siegfried & Roy, Tony Sinzge – Photo credit: Bryan Haraway).
This year marks the restaurant’s 14th annual event and the 13th year the famous duo has served as honorary keg tappers.
Ricardo Laguna kept the celebration going as the celebrity keg tapper on Saturday, Sept. 16. In what has become an annual tradition for the professional BMX dirt jumper, Laguna entered the beer hall on his bike doing a wheelie and performing tricks for the crowd while wearing a lederhosen. After the keg tapping, Laguna posed for photos with fans and enjoyed the restaurant’s delicious German/Bavarian food and authentic Oktoberfestbier with family and friends.
The 14th annual Oktoberfest celebration runs through October 31 and features Oktoberfest Stein-Holding contests, live entertainment, bar games, prizes and celebrity keg tappings every weekend. Next weekend, don’t miss stars of the popular television show “Tanked” on Friday, Sept. 22, and cast members from Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s show “Raiding the Rock Vault” on Saturday, Sept. 23.
