Local law enforcement personnel will be grilling up lunch to benefit Special Olympics Nevada (SONV) at the inaugural Las Vegas Cops & Burgers event hosted by Findlay Chevrolet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7 (Pictured: Cops & Burgers Event in Carson City).
Guests may enjoy tasty eats cooked and served by officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Nevada Highway Patrol and the Clark County School District Police Department. The event will also feature a lineup of fire trucks, motorcycles and police cars; an appearance by McGruff the Crime Dog; and other family-friendly activities.
Admission to Cops & Burgers is free of charge and the lunch – a hamburger, chips and a soda – is priced at $5 each. Proceeds will directly benefit SONV, which provides free year-round sports training and competitions, health resources and educational programs for more than 3,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in Nevada. Findlay Chevrolet will match every lunch sale, dollar-for-dollar, to further benefit the athletes of Special Olympics.
Findlay Chevrolet is located at 6800 S Torrey Pines Drive in Las Vegas. More information on Cops & Burgers is available at www.sonv.org/copsandburgerslv.
