Opportunity Village commences its growing fall events lineup with OktOVerfest at the Magical Forest, promising the 21+ crowd an afternoon of beer, traditional German food, DJ’d music, exciting contests and other fun festivities within the long-standing holiday attraction.
The second annual festival takes place Saturday, October 7th from 3 to 7 p.m. at the not-for-profit’s 6300 West Oakey Campus, with ample free parking available in the adjacent CSN lot.
“We had so much fun last year with OktOVerfest in 2016 that we had to bring it back, and it’s sure to be another highlight of the season,” said Opportunity Village President and CEO Bob Brown. “At our wonderful events like OktOVerfest, HallOVeen and the Magical Forest, we have a whole lot of fun, build awareness in our community, and most importantly, help create better, brighter futures for Southern Nevadans with disabilities.”
OktOVerfest is sponsored by local distributors Bonanza, Southern Glazer’s and Johnson Brothers, collectively offering event-goers 25 unique beers to sample, ranging from Angry Orchard to Worsteiner.
Tickets are available for purchase online at OVEvents.com for $45, or can be purchased day-of at the gate for $50. Must be 21 or over to attend. Proceeds from all of Opportunity Village’s events, including OktOVerfest, benefit the more than 2,000 adults with intellectual disabilities served by Opportunity Village annually.
