Maloney is an accomplished singer, songwriter and producer. He self-produced and engineered his first album at age 21 before joining the band Indulge in 2005. Maloney spent the next 10 years touring, playing hundreds of shows and festivals around the U.S., before breaking off as a solo artist and songwriter and auditioning for “The Voice” in 2014.
During his time on “The Voice” Maloney auditioned with the song “Lights,” originally performed by Journey, and earned a four-chair turn from the judges. Maloney chose Team Blake and made it to the team’s top five, recording four hit singles – “Lights” by Journey, “What’s Love Got to Do With It” by Tina Turner, “Easy” by Rascal Flatts and “Second Chance” by Shinedown.
Original songs by Maloney include “Hillbilly,” “Michigan Moonlight,” and “Living with No Directions,” all featured on country stations in Michigan, Nevada, Colorado and California. Maloney has shared the stage with big names in music including Tim McGraw, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Rascal Flatts and others.
