Inspired by Solano’s life in Mexico, the restaurant epitomizes the look and feel of an authentic taqueria. “I built the first Bomb Tacos location from the ground up with my own hands, from all the furniture to the artwork and signage,” said Solano. “I wanted to bring that same passion, dedication, and flavor to the growing downtown restaurant scene and be a part of the thriving community that celebrates art, culture, and great food.”

Solano, a gutsy, yet humble chef who has forged his own path, has spent over two decades in the culinary industry fine-tuning his skills in order to achieve his dream of owning his own restaurants in Las Vegas.  Prior to opening the flagship location of Bomb Tacos in 2017, Solano opened two other restaurants specializing in Mexican cuisine, Mondo and Mingo Kitchen & Lounge.

Solano has always been passionate about sharing an authentic culinary experience inspired by his heritage. Bomb Tacos takes a simple, yet loved food category and sculpts it into a unique assortment of traditional dishes that are elevated in quality and creativity, earning rave reviews from Las Vegas diners. Guests can expect favorites including tacos al pastor, crispy beef brisket tacos, Baja style fish tacos, wet burritos, carne asada fries, nachos, and tortas served alongside a variety of sodas, beers, and Mexican drinks like Jarritos and horchata. Vegetarian and vegan options will also be offered. Customers can end their meal on a sweet note with Bomb Tacos’ housemade churros topped with vanilla ice cream.

The decor features corrugated tin walls, brightly colored furniture, Mexican artwork, and a hand-painted mural reading “bienvenidos” that welcomes guests into the cozy dining area. Many of the restaurant’s pieces of furniture, fixtures, and artwork were personally built and painted by Solano to ensure quality and authenticity of the space.

The original Bomb Tacos location opened in the spring of 2017 and is located at 3655 S. Durango Dr. #27.
