Atlanta Rhythm Section
Saturday, May 12

Hailing from Doraville, Ga., Atlanta Rhythm Section formed in 1970, playing as house musicians at the famed Studio One, recording for country rock icons like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Dicky Betts and 38 Special, and working on their own music on their off time. In 1977, the group’s fame skyrocketed with the release of their breakthrough single “So Into You,” reaching Top 10 on the U.S. charts. The following year, the band released their platinum-selling album “Champagne Jam,” which also broke into the Top 10. The band continued to impress fans their chart-topping hits “Imaginary Lover,” “Doraville,” “I’m Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight,” “Do It or Die,” “Spooky” and “Alien.”

Atlanta Rhythm Section took an extended break, but reunited in the mid-‘90s, adding new band members and re-recording some of their best-loved hits. The band was later inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 1996. Today, the southern rock band continues to showcase their classic hits and musical talents for fans to enjoy.
