House of Blues Welcomes Bullet for My Valentine October 16, 2018
One of the most established U.K. metal bands in music history Bullet For My Valentine brings The Gravity Tour to House of Blues Las Vegas on Tuesday, October 16, 2018.

Having initially formed as Jeff Killed John in 1998, Bullet For My Valentine would eventually secure a major five-album label deal to release their 2005 debut The Poison. Along with their 2008 follow-up Scream Aim Fire, BFMV revitalized heavy metal music with new energy and a reinvention of intelligent noise. With millions of album sales worldwide, BFMV quickly established a metal legacy that garnered recognition from the Kerrang! Awards for Best British Band three years in a row, Best Single, Best Live Band and Best British Newcomer. In addition to praise from fans and press, BFMV has also gained the attention of inspirational metal music heroes, having toured with acts like Iron Maiden and Metallica.

Five albums later, BFMV presents their new opus Gravity. The Welsh quartet have stretched their creative wings like never before by delicately balancing film-score electronica and icy synths in their trademark hellfire of hard rock. With touring drummer Jason Bowld joining founding singer/guitarist Matt Tuck, fellow axe-man Michael ‘Padge’ Paget, and bassist Jamie Mathias, this band has reborn in more ways than one.

“Over the last 12 months, I’ve been thinking about the word contemporary a lot,” reveals Tuck. “And I feel this is a contemporary record. It’s not an old school, heart-on-your-sleeve influences thing. We’ve done that so let’s move forward and make the band more interesting. We don’t want to alienate anyone, but we don’t want to write the same thing. Metal-heads will enjoy this, I actually feel the softer electronic parts make the heavy moments even more crushing. It’s about engaging the listener and taking them on a journey, messing with their heads a bit.”
