As kids get ready to go back-to-school on Monday, August 13, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada (BGCSNV) offer youth ages 5-18 a safe place with fun experiences, caring mentors and a positive learning environment.
With 14 locations in the Valley, the Clubs give kids a sense of safety and belonging with after-school activities and programs that complement learning in exciting, supportive ways. BGCSNV program areas cover: Character and Leadership Development; Education and Career Development; Health and Life Skills; The Arts; Sports, Fitness and Recreation.
The annual enrollment fee for BGCSNV is $35 per child. BGCSNV provides financial assistance for families in need. Some Clubs provide extended morning programming, transportation to and from school and an after-school snack.
How kids spend their time after-school has a major impact on their future. The Boys & Girls Clubs believe all kids deserve the same opportunities to succeed in life. This past spring, 95% of seniors attending BGCSNV graduated from high school, and 78% enrolled in post-secondary, vocational or military service.
The Clubs provide a safe place to play, grow and learn while empowering youth to excel in school, become good citizens and lead healthy, productive lives. Kids and teens who attend Boys & Girls Clubs perform better academically and are more likely to avoid risky behaviors and attend school consistently.
