Golden Steer, the longest continuously operating steakhouse in Las Vegas, is celebrating its 60th anniversary with special promotions beginning in September and running through the end of the year (Pictured: Frank Sinatra’s Booth).
To commemorate the anniversary, the restaurant is bringing back select menu items that are no longer served on the current menu. On the first of each month, these dishes will rotate onto the menu, replacing the previous month’s throwback offerings. The first set of menu items will be available on Sept. 1 and new monthly menu additions will follow until the final throwback menu is released on Dec. 1.
September’s throwback menu:
- Hearts of Palm Salad
- Served with vinaigrette
- Frog Legs
- Provencale or Oklahoma style
- Chilean Trout
- Sautéed with lemon butter
- Chicken Hunter Style
- Boneless breast of chicken, sautéed in olive oil, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, tomato sauce
- Top Sirloin (14 oz.)
- Lyonnaise Potatoes
- Thin sliced potatoes with onions
- Spumoni Bomba
Since 1958, the Golden Steer has been the setting for countless dinners with some of the world’s most recognizable celebrities like Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack, Elvis and Muhammad Ali. Additionally, the Golden Steer is a hotspot for locals to mark special occasions like birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and many other memorable events. To acknowledge the unforgettable moments that have taken place there, the restaurant is launching the “Golden Memories” campaign on Sept. 1 by asking its patrons to share their favorite memory of dining, drinking and socializing at the Golden Steer.
The stories and photos of these memorable experiences can be submitted anytime throughout the month September. Submissions can be mailed to 308 W. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89102, emailed to [email protected], or posted via text, photos or videos to the Golden Steer’s Facebook at facebook.com/goldensteerlasvegas or Instagram (@GoldenSteerLV). The top “Golden Memory” shared with the restaurant, as selected by management, will earn a complimentary dinner for two ($250 credit – no cash value).
“The restaurant is incredibly thankful for the opportunity to serve the Las Vegas community for the past 60 years,” says Golden Steer proprietor Dr. Michael J. Signorelli. “We look forward to making the next 60 years just as memorable.”
