Continuing its more than 30-year tradition of sponsoring the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR), Boyd Gaming properties are the premiere locations for all things rodeo offering up a full roster of events and activities Dec. 6-15. Cowboys and cowgirls can revel in fan-favorites like National Finals Tonight Show and the best rodeo parties after dark, including the Buckin’ Bash, at The Orleans.
Rump’s Rodeo Party at The Orleans
Rump’s Rodeo Party returns for its third year and will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 6-15! The event will be held in the Honky Tonk Saloon, located near Bailiwick All American Pub + Eatery. Hosted by 2017 PRCA Barrelman of the Year Justin Rumford, this NFR Viewing Party invites guests to experience the excitement and watch the live feed of the competitions. In addition to a free NFR viewing experience, Rump will bring his unique humor and antics along with chances to win great prizes, nightly.
National Finals Tonight Show at The Orleans
Now in its 12th year, the award-winning National Finals Tonight Show will return to The Orleans at 10:30 p.m., Dec. 6-15. Happening for the first time inside the Honky Tonk Saloon, the show will feature rodeo highlights, interviews, and question and answer sessions with the world’s leading cowboys and cowgirls.
Admission is free and prizes will be given away nightly. The wrap-up of each day’s WNFR events will be hosted by eight-time World Champion and Hall of Fame Cowboy Don Gay; World Champion Tie-Down Roper and all-around cowboy Joe Beaver; and TV host Dan Miller. There will be special appearances by legendary WNFR rodeo announcers and Boyd Gaming Rodeo Ambassadors Bob Tallman, Roger Mooney and many others.
Buckin’ Bash at The Orleans
Las Vegas’ best rodeo party after dark since 2010 has been re-branded to the Buckin’ Bash. Same great bands, brews and two-steppin as always but with a new host, Justin Rumford! The fun kicks-off at 9 p.m. in the Bourbon Street Lounge. Dec. 6-15. Rumford will welcome a different rodeo celebrity for a “Toast of the Night” every evening. The Buckin’ Bash will be complete with live country music, two-step dancing and drink specials. Guests must be 21 years or older and there is no cover charge.
Family-Friendly NFR Viewing Parties at The Orleans and Sam’s Town
Families can enjoy the rodeo action at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6-15 in the Hawthorne Room at Sam’s Town and The Orleans Showroom at The Orleans. Food and drink specials will be available at the free events and children are welcome to accompany their parents.
Bob Tallman’s WNFR Charity Bowling Event at the Gold Coast
Bowling, celebrities, food and fun will once again be part of the Bob Tallman’s WNFR Charity Bowling Event at 10 a.m. on Dec. 8 at the Gold Coast Bowling Center. Now in its 11th year, the tournament will benefit the Las Vegas chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities and the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund. ALL IN BARREL RACE at Orleans Arena
Watch some of the top barrel racing competitors in the country during the action-packed ALL IN BARREL RACE at Orleans Arena, Dec. 6-8 (Race 1), Dec. 10-12 (Race 2) and Dec. 14-16 (Race 3). The 10-day event will welcome contestants from as far away as Canada, Florida and Europe to compete for a guaranteed cash payout of more than $557,000 and over $150,000 in prizes. Exclusive Showings of “Feek’s Vision” at The Orleans
The Orleans will host free and exclusive previews of “Feek’s Vision” at 2 p.m. on Dec. 9, Dec. 12 and Dec. 13. The documentary by Ken Howie shares the revolutionary story of Chandler Earl “Feek” Tooke and his founding of one of rodeo’s most influential and champion-producing horse bloodlines. “Feek’s Vision” is complete with stories told by rodeo greats, including Larry Mahan, Ty Murray, Deb Copenhaver, Mel Potter and Harry Vold.
