More than 900 competitors converged at the Flamingo Las Vegas to compete this week for a $50,000 grand prize and title of Beer Pong champions (Photo: © Erik Kabik/ RETNA/ www.erikkabik.com). After a long weekend of Beer Pong, Monday was the final day of competition at the World Series of Beer Pong V. The final day of tournament play concluded with a championship match that crowned this year’s winner.
The winning team was “Smashing Time” from Long Island, NY made up of Ron Hamilton and Michael “Pop” Popielarski – they go by Ron & Pop. This is the 4th World Series of Beer Pong the duo has competed in and the second consecutive title, winning in 2009. They are the only champs to take home two titles thus far in the tournament’s five year run.
The duo took home the grand prize of $50,000!
