Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) and the Las Vegas community showed support in the fight against HIV and AIDS on World AIDS Day on Dec. 1 with a series of commemorations around town honoring those living with or affected by the disease.
“AFAN is dedicated to continuing the fight against HIV/AIDS until there are no more infections,” said Antioco Carrillo, AFAN executive director. “Our goal has been and always will be making Nevada AIDS-free, and when we do we will throw a huge celebration!”
Starting at 8 p.m., Las Vegas casinos and landmarks turned their marquees and buildings red. The full list of participating properties is below.
