will be hosting First Responders Appreciation Night in the Magical Forest on Friday, Dec. 14, a special one-off event where paramedics, emergency medical technicians (EMT), police officers, firefighters, and rescuers in the Las Vegas Valley receive free admission for themselves and a guest to the organization’s winter wonderland. 

Highlighting the night will be a fireworks display that will go off at Opportunity Village’s beloved, 2.5-acre park located at 6300 W. Oakey Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89146. The firework show will begin at 6:30 p.m.

“Opportunity Village is thrilled to show its appreciation for all these individuals who have dedicated their lives to serving others,” said Bob Brown, President & CEO of Opportunity Village. “We can’t thank them enough for their continued hard work and for showing this community exactly what it means to be ‘Vegas Strong.’”

In addition to the first-responders and a guest receiving free tickets, $2 discounts will also be available for other members of their family on General Admission tickets or Passports. All first responders must show valid identification to receive their free general admission tickets.

The Magical Forest’s box office will open at 5 p.m. for first responders, and the park officially opens at 5:30 p.m. Attendees can also purchase individual ride tickets throughout the park for $3 each.

The Magical Forest offers a wide array of family-friendly holiday fun to enjoy, including nightly entertainment, delicious treats and food, The Blizzard mini-coaster, the Forest Express Passenger Train, Cheyenne’s Enchanted Carousel, the Avalanche Slide, the Ethel M Candy Cabin filled with holiday décor and gifts, and photo opportunities with Santa and his friends from the North Pole.

Opportunity Village added over 1 million new lights to the Forest this season and now features the Illumination ExperienceThe lighting spectacular features a synchronized music show with dancing lights that can be seen from any vantage point of the park and runs every 30 minutes from the time the Forest opens until close.

The Magical Forest is open every night from Nov. 23 – Dec. 31, 2018 at 5:30 p.m., with the exception of Christmas Day (Dec. 25). General admission tickets for adults are $12, while children’s tickets are $10. Passports can be purchased for $22 and Children’s Passports are available for $19.
