Multiple Grammy-nominated and platinum-selling recording artist Elle King brings her unique sound to the Henderson Pavilion on Friday, May 31, at 7 p.m. (gates open at 6:00 p.m.) as part of her “Shake the Spirit” tour.
King will perform new material from her just-released album Shake the Spirit, along with her hits including “America’s Sweetheart,” Country Music Awards-nominated “Different for Girls” and, of course, her breakout song, “Ex’s and Oh’s.”
Elle King’s new single “Baby Outlaw” debuted #1 most added on the AAA chart and is currently Top 20 on the chart. Her second studio albumShake the Spirit was released last fall to critical acclaim and massive radio success. Lead single “Shame” became her fourth radio #1 single and led King to become the only act in history to have scored number 1 singles on the Adult Pop Songs, Adult Alternative Songs, Alternative Songs and Country Airplay charts.
King’s debut album Love Stuff, a mix of rock ‘n roll, blues and country with a bit of pop, was released in February 2015. Her breakthrough single “Ex’s & Oh’s” propelled King into the mainstream spotlight, earned her two Grammy nominations and was certified double platinum. The track hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Rock Songs Chart, and topped the AAA, Hot AC and Alternative Radio charts, leading King to become the second female artist in 18 years to reach No. 1 at the latter format. She was also featured on Dierks Bentley’s Grammy-nominated No. 1 Country Airplay hit “Different For Girls” (which she performed with Bentley at the CMA Awards and took home an award for “Musical Event of the Year”). King also performed for President Obama in honor of Mavis Staples at the 2016 Kennedy Center Honors.
