Vicente Fernández to Perform at Mandalay Bay Nov. 29

Vicente Fernández, the singer of such universally loved hits as “El Rey,” “Volver, Volver” and “Nos Estorbó la Ropa,” is celebrating his 41st anniversary in the music industry with a tour that brings him back to major arenas across the United States. The tour will make a stop at the Mandalay Bay Events Center Saturday, Nov. 29 and the show is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.

As a world-class singer, Fernández continues to be a prolific and influential player responsible for shaping the growth and development of the modern Ranchera genre of music. For his artistic integrity, his tireless dedication, and unending enthusiasm, Fernández surely will be noted in history books as one of the fundamental pioneers of Ranchera music and a towering figure in the evolution of Regional Mexican music.

For his new album, PARA SIEMPRE, Fernández once again rolls up his sleeves and takes on something new. He has teamed up with Joan Sebastian, one of Mexico’s most perceptive grassroots songwriters of the past 35 years, who wrote and produced all 12 songs on the album. The rhythms, chords and sounds are slightly different than Fernandez’ previous works, but they are 100 percent Ranchera and show that this iconic figure remains at the forefront of Mexico’s signature genre.
