Wynn Las Vegas Hosts Mother’s Day Brunch at The Shade Tree
To celebrate the conclusion of an extensive 10-month renovation of The Shade Tree led by Wynn Las Vegas, volunteers from the resort hosted a special Mother’s Day Brunch at the facility to honor the residents (Photo credit: Al Powers / Powers Imagery).
More than 20 Wynn employees volunteered at the event to assist with meal service and set up for approximately 135 women and children of the shelter.
Chef Kelly Bianchi, executive chef of catering and special events for Wynn Las Vegas, created a special menu to commemorate the occasion, which featured glazed ham with brown sugar and mustard chicken apple sausage, scrambled eggs with chives and crème fraiche, creamy mac and cheese, and white chocolate orange French toast with warm maple syrup.
Wynn Las Vegas, with assistance from over 170 community partners, collectively donated more than 15,500 hours of labor and $2.5 million in labor costs and in-kind donations to the Las Vegas-based non-profit organization.
