Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar invites guests to celebrate National Wine Day at the restaurant’s May Taste and Learn event on Saturday, May 25 at 5 p.m. The popular monthly gathering at the restaurant with the best Italian wine collection in North America offers an authentic wine education along with expertly paired delicious Italian accompaniments prepared by Executive Chef Francesco DiCaudo.
The evening will feature wines from Zymē, an exceptional winery located near the romantic city of Verona in Northern Italy’s Veneto region. The winemaker, Celestino Gaspari, maintains a reverence for nature and a belief in man’s responsibility to live in eco-harmony with the earth. His wines reflect the history of the Valpolicella area while incorporating innovation and experimentation with new wines that enhance and renew the local terroir. The resulting vintages are among the best to taste in all of Italy.
The evening will begin with a delectable bold white wine followed by three extraordinary Valpolicella reds. The final wine served will be one of Zymē’s most incomparable wines, the Amarone della Valpolicella, retailing for nearly $200. As always, Ferraro’s award-winning chef will prepare brilliant dishes to accompany each wine. The full menu follows:
