Vegas Junior Golden Knights Executive Director Darren Eliot announced today, June 24, the coaches of the nine Vegas Junior Golden Knights teams for the upcoming 2019-20 season. Among the additions include former NHL player Clayton Stoner, who will join the staff as the organization’s 12AA coach.
Stoner becomes the second Vegas Junior Golden Knights coach with NHL playing experience, joining Brian Salcido who is a member of both the 14AA and 10U coaching staffs and serves as a Skills Coach. Stoner is a veteran of 360 NHL games and tallied seven goals, 41 assists and 459 penalty minutes in his NHL career. The Vegas Golden Knights selected him in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft from the Anaheim Ducks.
“The 2019-20 coaching staff brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience at all levels. Clayton Stoner will be a tremendous addition to the organization. Along with Brian Salcido, we are proud to have another coach with NHL playing experience to further improve our program”, said Vegas Junior Golden Knights Executive Director Darren Eliot. “As interest and participation continues to flourish here in Las Vegas, expanding and diversifying our program is a priority. In that regard, we are thrilled to add another girls team to our Vegas Junior Golden Knights program.”

Entering their third season as a program, The Vegas Junior Golden Knights will compete in the AZYHL, NAPHL and NHL branded showcases this season, as well as age specific tournaments.
