“The Vegas Take”
with hosts JD Sharp and Brian Shapiro is expanding to 3 hours in the Primetime 9-Noon time slot on Monday-Friday on 101.5 FM/720 AM KDWN. The new expanded show takes place on August 12 (Pictured: JD Sharp and Brian Shapiro with Oakland Raiderettes).

The Vegas Take is the top rated talk show in Las Vegas, a unique LIVE show in a unique market. The show is broadcast on a 50K watt transmitter that covers most of the West Coast.

Brian Shapiro has been in radio for 20 years, and is considered one of the best interviewers in the business. JD Sharp is considered one of the best overall sports handicappers in the country. Brian Shapiro can’t stand Donald Trump. JD Sharp doesn’t mind him.

This highly interactive talk show features popular celebrity guests, relevant sports topics of the day (including coverage of UNLV football, basketball, the Vegas Golden Knights, and the Oakland Raiders) plus gambling, politics and entertainment.

Guests on The Vegas Take have included Dana Carvey, Gloria Allred, Daniel Negreanu, Perez Hilton, George Wallace, Scott Stapp of Creed, Wes Scantlin of Puddle of Mudd, Evan Stone, Katie Morgan, Richelle Ryan, Rick Pitino, Steve Lavin, Jeff Van Gundy, Tom Izzo, Larry Eustachy, Lon Kruger, Shawn Porter, Oscar Goodman, Phil Hellmuth, Al Bernstein, and many others. For more information, visit The Vegas Take Facebook page.

Special weekly guests include Michael Avenatti, TMZ Sports, and several other regular Las Vegas contributors. It is unpredictable as well – OJ Simpson’s lawyer Malcolm Lavergne called in the middle of a segment with the late Ronald Goldman’s sister Kim Goldman, and squared up with her in a debate.  It was the first time they’d ever spoken to each other.
