Las Vegas’ beloved neighborhood restaurant, DW Bistro, is introducing a new ongoing popup, the Dining With Guest Chef Series.
Featuring chefs from around the city – many of whose restaurants are either still shutdown, have limited hours, or whose projects have been delayed – the DW Guest Chef Series will give visiting chefs the ability to showcase their cooking styles and cuisines, while utilizing DW Bistro’s beautiful dining room and kitchen.
“There’s no doubt that the pandemic has taken a hard hit on the food and beverage industry. But we have a lot to be grateful for here at DW, and we want to share that,” said DW Bistro Owner Bryce Krausman. “We have so many talented friends without access to kitchens and the community right now. We have the space, why not use it to give these chefs an opportunity to shine.”
Kicking off the Dining With Guest Chef Series on Saturday, August 8 is Lanny Chin, Chopped Champion formerly found in the kitchens of The Slanted Door Las Vegas, Greene Street, and Apex Social Club. With a passion for Asian cuisine, Chef Lanny is bringing some of his nostalgic roots to the series with a menu featuring family-style starters like Pork Belly Bao Buns and Chin Family Eggrolls; mains including Kimchi Braised Osso Bucco and Whole Fried Rockfish; and desserts such as the Thai Chili Brownie and a White Chocolate Truffle Milkshake.
“I am really looking forward to this experience at DW,” Chin said. “I’ve been anxious to get back in the kitchen and to cook for the community. This is a fantastic opportunity to do so, while also flexing my culinary creative muscle.”
Tickets to Chef Lanny’s Dining With Guest Chef Pop Up are $75 per person for parties of four, and available at dwbistro.com.
Following the August 8 launch, the Dining With Guest Chef Series will continue to bring in some of Las Vegas’ favorite chefs including Chef Sonia El-Nawal of Rooster Boy Café, Chef Hemant Kishore of The Toddy Shop, and more.
