Most people picture casinos and shows when thinking of Las Vegas. Buffets, extravagant hotels, and endless hours at the slots or Black Jack table make Vegas seem like one of the unhealthiest vacation options out there.

You may be nervous that the 100-degree summer heat will keep you from more than a stroll down The Strip from Circus Circus to The Mirage; but believe it or not, there is no shortage of locations with great opportunities to get active in Vegas—whether you live there or are just visiting.

Unique exercise classes, interesting settings, and spectacularly scenic runs and hikes await you in the Entertainment Capital of the World. Gear up and get ready to have a blast working off all those calories from dinner at the Bellagio Buffet, before lounging by your hotel pool or in the casino for the rest of the day.

Be prepared for whatever opportunities arise by remembering to bring your most important workout gear. A water bottle, sunscreen (if you plan to be outside), and the right shoes are bare minimum; and you are going to want to bring something for pain as well. Even if your workout doesn’t change, traveling alters your routine in ways that can leave you sore.

CBD products are a natural way to combat pain and inflammation and keep you feeling great the whole time you’re in Vegas. CBD oil will help you wind down at night, and CBD cream will soothe your tired legs and feet.

To help you plan for being active in Vegas, here are some of the best places to go when you want to get your heart pumping—from something other than the thrill of winning:

Great Indoor Workout Experiences

Dolphin Yoga at The Mirage

The Mirage has a world-class spa and fitness center, so be prepared to take advantage of those amenities—especially if you’re staying there. Starting in 2021, they will even have an opportunity to get up close and personal with the dolphins in their conservation habitat while you do your morning yoga!

Each session includes a complimentary smoothie and access to day spa services, and what could be more serene than doing yoga with the dolphins in their underwater viewing area? Learn about dolphin pose from the masters with this unique class!

Pole Dancing at Pole Fitness Studio

Pole dancing took the fitness world by storm a few years ago, and now the trendy workout style is made for almost anyone. The Travel Channel calls Pole Fitness “one of the best places to party in Vegas”; and the studio offers a variety of group and private classes, as well as bachelorette and birthday parties.

Go get your sassy on, with instructors who studied under the original pole fitness instructor, Fawnia. You may even have the opportunity to meet the creator herself!

Any Class at the Las Vegas Circus Center

This entire fitness center dedicated to the circus arts is sure to be one of the best workouts you will ever have. The Circus Center has classes tailored to all levels, and the variety of high-flying fitness will never get boring.

You can take a 90-minute introductory course just to get familiar, or jump right into a trampoline, trapeze, or siks course. Bring your kids to this one, too! They have classes like Ninja Kids designed just for them, building coordination, endurance, and a lifetime of enthusiasm about fitness. Just be careful, they may want to run away to the circus after these classes!
