Christmas Festivities With The Front Yard
Get in the Christmas spirit at Ellis Island’s beloved restaurant, The Front Yard, which has been transformed into a Yuletide wonderland. The space, which was decorated over a three day period by the incredible team from KAC3L, now boasts 15 Christmas trees, including a stunning 15-foot tree that is elevated to the second story. The Front Yard is also now hosting Christmas Movie Nights, where diners can enjoy festive films including Elf, A Christmas Story, and claymations, in a holiday-lovers paradise. Movie showings are every Tuesday throughout December at 5:30 and 7:30pm and reservations can be made on OpenTable.
Additionally, The Front Yard will be hosting a holiday-themed Brewer’s Dinner on Thursday, December 10th at 5:30pm. The evening will feature a guided multi-course dinner and beer pairing led by Head Brewers Michael Key and Eddie Leal. Dishes served include Crab Cakes with a house-made beer mustard paired with Berlin Weiss, Ellis Island Beer Braised Short Rib served with mashed potatoes and candied carrots paired with Doppelbock, and more. Social distancing and state mandates will be enforced with tables at a maximum 4 guests each. This event is open to guests 21+ and reservations can be made here for $65 per person.
New Sausage Menu at CraftHaus
In keeping with authentic German traditions, visitors can now pair up their favorite CraftHaus brew with new sausage options at CraftHaus Arts District. The new menu includes the Beer Brat with sauerkraut, caramelized onions, and whole grain mustard on a warm spent grain pretzel bun; Spicy Chicken Mango Sausage with grilled peppers and siracha mayo on a toasted poppy seed bun; Polish Sausage with grilled peppers, sauerkraut, and yellow mustard on a toasted poppy seed bun, Beyond Brat, a plant-based protein sausage with sauerkraut and whole grain mustard on a warm vegan pretzel bun; The Works Sausage, a Polish sausage with beer cheese, grilled peppers, caramelized onions, and whole grain mustard on a warm spent grain pretzel bun; and The Beast, a Nevada-made sausage with New Zealand elk, bison and Wagyu beef, raspberry and chipotle aioli. Fan favorites like the CraftHaus pretzel rolls and charcuterie plates are also available. New menu only available at the Arts District location at 197 E California Ave.
Virtual Personal Shopping at The Market Shop
In an effort to continue helping the community shop local, small, and safely during the holidays, The Market Shop at Fergusons Downtown launched virtual personal shopping. With a one-on-one appointment, conducted via Zoom, The Market Shop’s personal shoppers will walk through the available products, giving an up-close-and-personal look at anything of interest. Celebrate Hanukkah With Rooster Boy Cafe

Big Jerk for Christmas
After high demand for their signature Smoked Jerk Turkeys this Thanksgiving, Big Jerk Caribbean is bringing back the birds for Christmas. Guests can order their spiced smoked turkey now through December 21 for Christmas dinner, priced at $4.95 per pound. Soulbelly Popups Expand
Chef Bruce Kalman’s Soulbelly pop-up schedule has expanded for December, adding Fridays and Saturdays so guests can grab their barbeque fix for the weekend. Stationed on the HUDL Brewing patio, guests can enjoy an early taste of Soulbelly from the Top Chef finalist, including brisket, ribs, sandwiches, and sides. Delivery will be available soon via Postmates.
Chef Bruce is also offering a Christmas feast via SecretBurger – available for $59/per diner. The menu includes Pig in Blankets with Honey Mustard BBQ as an appetizer and for dinner, Pull apart milk rolls; Butternut Squash Soup with pomegranate seeds, crème fraiche and rosemary oil; Blood Orange Bourbon Glazed Ham OR Smoked Whole Chicken; Scalloped Potatoes with Parmesan and Aged cheddar; Maple glazed carrots & parsnips with toasted sunflower seeds; and Braised collard greens; dessert is slice of Chocolate Pecan Pie.
