CAMCO (Complete Association Management Company, LLC) is partnering with The Rocio Guillen Foundation (RG Foundation) for a 2020 holiday toy drive to benefit foster children in Las Vegas. The contact-less event will be held on Dec. 10th from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the back parking lot of the CAMCO administrative offices at 4775 West Teco Avenue, in Las Vegas.

The entities will partner to help Christmas dreams come true for Valley foster children. CAMCO’s support of the toy drive helps the RG Foundation deliver on its mission to serve those in need. The foundation was established by Christopher and Marcus Guillen in honor of their mother, Rocio, who lost her life in the Route 91 Festival shooting on October 1, 2017. Both Christopher and Marcus will be on hand to help collect toys for Valley children.

“2020 has been such a rough year for all of us. That difficultly is multiplied for kids in foster care,” said Caitlin Johnson, foster parent recruiter for Las Vegas-based foster care agency, SAFY of Nevada. “There have been struggles to get in-person visits with family members, distance learning and many other things. … Now more than ever, it’s so important to help bring a smile to their faces. Thank you for helping to do that.”

In response to the Route 91 Festival shooting, CAMCO’s head of marketing, Mary Rendina, created the Facebook group #58RandomActsOfKindness to honor the memory of shooting victims. Through the group, she met the Guillen family and learned about the foundation. CAMCO has now made the RG Foundation its charity of choice.

“We appreciate the Guillen family’s willingness to partner with us and to set an important example for how to take a tragic moment and use it to improve the lives of others,” said Mary Rendina, CAMCO’s marketing director.

At the event, toy drive participants will be greeted by CAMCO Spirit Committee elves and can enjoy hot chocolate and cookies from local coffee shop, Grouchy John’s Coffee. They can also snap a photo inside the First Choice Tree Service-sponsored photo booth. Adhering to COVID-19 pandemic safety precautions, the toy drive will be held outdoors to allow for social distancing.

CAMCO team members who donate to the cause will have their names entered into a raffle drawing for a free day off with pay. Vendors can also enter a raffle drawing for a free lunch with the CAMCO executive team.

If you can’t make it to the event, but still want to donate to the toy drive, bring donations to the CAMCO office at 4775 West Teco Avenue between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
