Today HomeAid Southern Nevada, in partnership with Finance of America Cares and the CARE Complex, distributed nearly 300 backpacks containing essential items to help those experiencing homelessness.
Each backpack contained a variety of items, including: soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, a toothbrush, toothpaste, a hairbrush, razors, water bottles, a blanket, a hat, gloves, a scarf, sunscreen, lip balm and tissues.
The initiative was funded in part by a grant provided by Finance of America Cares. The total value of all backpacks distributed equates to more than $6,000.
