Helping encourage people to go vegan for the month of January, Vegans, Baby is bringing back Vegan Dining Month for the 4th consecutive year in Las Vegas. Returning with new and longstanding restaurant partners, this initiative is a great way to support local Las Vegas restaurants while exploring delicious plant-based meals.

Vegans, Baby’s monthlong celebration of vegan-living is a partnership between restaurants that offer special vegan menus designed to give vegan and vegan-curious diners the opportunity to get to know chefs and restaurants, and for restaurants to learn more about the plant-based demand and expand their options.

“Many have turned to a vegan lifestyle this past year and more people than ever have signed up to take part in the international month-long challenge for Veganuary,” said Vegans, Baby founder Diana Edelman. Veganuary is an international campaign that encourages people to go vegan for the entire month of January; interested participants are encouraged to sign up here. “Vegan Dining Month is a great way we can help support our incredible local restaurants while doing good for people, the animals and the environment. There are a lot of new restaurants participating this year, which means new offerings and takes on plant-based food. I am very excited to share what our partners have been working on with the vegan community and those vegan-curious diners out there!”

More than 20 Las Vegas restaurants are participating including Elizabeth Blau’s Honey Salt, Bronze Café and The Juice Box, Guerrilla Pizza, Hussong’s Cantina, Lucino’s Pizza, Tacotarian and more! Special menu offerings include:

  • Honey Salt – Chickpea and Pumpkin Curry infused with flavors of lemongrass, ginger and cilantro
  • Bronze Café and The Juice Box – The Vegan Dining Crave Combo – a TOFURKY sandwich with, vegan bacon and bacon jam, fresh avocado, tomatoes, cucumber slices and a basil aioli served on a warm ciabatta roll with a side of chips and an Ube milkshake
  • Lucino’s Pizza – Butternut Squash Pizza topped with a squash and cauliflower puree, with Good Planet mozzarella, golden raisins, cubes of squash, candied walnuts and a sprinkling of basil
  • Tacotarian – a pre-fixe menu with two Empanadas Potosinas made with seasoned corn masa filled with vegan chorizo, potatoes and poblano peppers; a Carne en su Jugo soup with pinto beans and vegan carne asada; and 2 Buñelos, a crispy fried bite covered with cinnamon sugar

“There’s no better time than now to eat clean and take care of yourself. There’s also no better time to try fun new recipes from your favorite neighborhood restaurants,” said Honey Salt’s Elizabeth Blau. “That’s why we are so excited to join Vegan Dining Month in 2021. What a great way to support local businesses and farms to kick off the new year.”

Agreeing with that sentiment, longtime restaurant partner Makers & Finders’ Owner Josh Molina said, “being a part of Vegan Dining Month for the fourth year in a row brings us a sense of pride at Makers & Finders. Diana was a major reason for our plant-based breakfast, lunch and dinner menus that launched in 2016. The vegan community has been extremely supportive of us and other restaurants who are committed to thoughtful, plant-based dishes. We look forward to further expanding our vegan offerings in 2021 and to continue our partnership with Diana.”

This year diners will have the opportunity to take these delectable plant-based meals home with expanded take-out options from participating restaurants. For a full list of Vegan Dining Month restaurant partners and menus, click here

In 2020 Vegan’s, Baby’s Vegan Dining Month raised more than $6,000for various animal-oriented non-profits. This year, every participating restaurant will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the local organization PLAN or the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada. Edelman said, “This year it felt important to partner with a local organization that champions human rights and environmental causes. In order to help animals, we need to support humans and the environment, too.”
