Chazz Palminteri Returns to The Venetian in One-Man Show, A BRONX TALE

Back by popular demand, Academy Award-nominated actor Chazz Palminteri will return to The Venetian Showroom with his critically acclaimed one-man show A BRONX TALE.  After a very successful engagement at The Venetian in 2009, Palminteri is bringing his 18 character, one man play back to The Venetian stage April 28 – May 9 and October 7 – 18, 2010.

“We are thrilled to have Chazz Palminteri return to The Venetian Showroom with A BRONX TALE. The show was the talk of Las Vegas when it first debuted here in October 2009 and the response from our guests was tremendous!” said Chris Yancey, executive director of entertainment for The Venetian and The Palazzo.

“I am excited to be bringing my show back to The Venetian for all of the people that didn’t get a chance to see it the first time,” said Palminteri. “I always enjoy visiting Las Vegas and feel right at home at The Venetian.”

First mounted off-Broadway in 1989 and then revived on Broadway as a hit during the 2007/2008 season and continued on a national tour in 2009, A BRONX TALE is a funny and touching memoir written by and starring Chazz Palminteri. In the celebrated play on which he based the legendary movie, directed by and co-starring Robert De Niro, Palminteri brings 18 characters to life while vividly depicting a young boy’s rough childhood in the 1960’s-era Bronx and the unforgettable people he encountered. A classic coming-of-age story about reaching your true potential and trusting your heart, A BRONX TALE is directed by four-time Tony Award-winner Jerry Zaks and produced by GO Productions, LLC, a Las Vegas based Production Company. Among its well deserved list of distinctions, A BRONX TALE was named the #1 show in 2009 by Mike Weatherford of the Las Vegas Review Journal in his annual list of the Top Ten shows in Las Vegas. The New York Times describes it as, “A rejuvenating act of faith in the powers of acting and storytelling,” adding, “This memoir has Heart, Spice, and Humor.” The Las Vegas Sun said A BRONX TALE is “Richly comic and compelling” while the AP called it “Enormously Entertaining.”
