Stratosphere Hotel & Casino and American Superstars host the 19th Annual Reel Awards Thursday, March 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Theater of the Stars Showroom. With a unique red carpet, filled with faux celebrities, The Reel Awards honors the world’s best tribute artists and impersonators.
“It is no surprise to us that an award show for tribute artists would find a home at the Stratosphere. American Superstarsis one of the premier tribute shows in Las Vegas so the pairing is only natural,” said American Superstarsco-producer Donny Moore. “We understand the hard work and dedication it takes to become a tribute artist and we’re eager to welcome other top entertainers to the Stratosphere.”
American Superstarsis a full-scale production show that combines the talents of tribute artists portraying the likeness and musical abilities of today and yesterday’s hottest stars. The American Superstarscast features tributes to Elvis, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Tim McGraw and Carrie Underwood. Backing the multi-talented cast are the high energy Superstars Dance Band and the beautiful Superstars Dancers.
The Reel Awards, a high-energy variety show, produced by International Celebrity Images, will include comedy, singing, dancing and impersonations by some of the industry’s top tribute artists. 16 Reel Awards will be presented to winners in various categories based on their achievements throughout the year. In addition to performances from tribute artists portraying Marilyn Monroe, Julio Iglesias, LL Cool J, Whitney Houston, Selena, Bette Midler, and the Blues Brothers, the show will also include a special presentation of “Judy and Liza, Together Again” by performers depicting Liza Minnelli and Judy Garland and a dance finale dedicated to Michael Jackson.
