Sin City has spoken and the votes are in for ‘Best of the Valley,’ a poll conducted by local weekly publication, Las Vegas CityLife, which recently announced the winners this week. 9 Group, which operates four nightclubs, two restaurants and the pool at Palms Casino Resort, receives a number of accolades including: best industry night, best electronic music and house party, best nightclub and more.
9 Group earns the recognition for Best Club Kid Restaurant, offering everything that a food enthusiast or partygoer could ever desire for an unparalleled experience. N9NE Steakhouse has redefined the great American steakhouse and offers signature cuisine dished up by Executive Chef Barry S. Dakake; Nove Italiano was recently named #1 Italian restaurant in Las Vegas; Palms Pool & Bungalows revolutionized pool parties with Ditch Fridays; and 9 Group’s club empire includes Rain Nightclub, ghostbar, Moon Nightclub and Playboy Club all featuring mind-blowing entertainment, beautiful people and unique atmospheres.
Stealing the honor for Best Electronic Music/House Party is “Paul Oakenfold Presents: Perfecto Vegas,” collaboration between internationally-acclaimed DJ Paul Oakenfold and award-winning VJ and director Vello Virkaus. Taking place every Saturday inside Rain Nightclub, the evening features various cutting-edge design and visual art elements, including full audio-visual system integration, multi-screen content and computer graphics. The weekly production was conceptualized specifically for Rain Nightclub, the legendary 25,000 square-foot club and concert venue at Palms Casino Resort.
Rain Nightclub wins in the category for Best Nightclub. With multiple levels and environments comprising 25,000 square feet, Rain Nightclub represents the ultimate contemporary nightclub and concert venue, combining performances by international headliners, an electrifying dance club, a private event facility and intimate enclaves in one dynamic, multi-sensory destination. Recognized for being home to the legendary Paul Oakenfold and his weekly Saturday night production, “Perfecto Vegas,” and Z-Trip’s weekly Friday night, “Z-Trip’s Revolution,” Rain Nightclub houses two of the largest deejay residencies in the nation. In addition, Rain Nightclub hosts the ultimate retro-inspired roller skating disco party known as the Down and Derby, which takes place once a month.
Winning the category for Best Industry Night is Moon Tuesdays at Moon Nightclub, which caters to local patrons and features hip-hop mash-ups and top-40 hits. The venue is the exclusive penthouse nightclub loaded with high-end finishes, VIP accommodations, premier entertainment and a spectacular view of the Las Vegas Strip. Moon occupies the top floor of the Palms’ Fantasy Tower, just above Nove Italiano, and is connected to the Playboy Club by glass and mirror-ensconced escalators. Moon is also home to BANG, which features special DJ sets by brothers Benji and Joel Madden. The club’s main room features what is arguably the most spectacular architectural feature in Las Vegas—a massive retractable roof that when closed, serves as a large video screen, exhibiting giant images of the action on the dance floor. Comfortable booths line the perimeter of Moon’s main room. In the rear is the Satellite Bar featuring lounge-style furniture and electronic music, which accommodate guests seeking a sensual, laid-back experience.
Atlanta native and 9 Group resident DJ, Jordan Stevens conquers in the Best Electronic Dance/House DJ category. Spinning primarily at Rain Nightclub and Moon Nightclub, Stevens has evolved to become a Las Vegas favorite and stands out as a versatile music guru of dance music, trance, Euro-house, electro and remixed alternative rock.
