Celebrate Christmas at Simon at Palms Place

Simon at Palms Place, the new restaurant from Kerry Simon, Elizabeth Blau and George Maloof, invites guests to join them for a festive Christmas celebration in an amazing setting like no other in Las Vegas. Rock-n-roll chef Kerry Simon uses his signature style and flair to create a memorable and crowd-pleasing menu that guests can enjoy in the main dining area with floor to ceiling views of the Palms Place pool and Red Rock Mountains, or poolside on the Simon patio. The three-course prix fixe costs $75 per person and is available from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Guests select an appetizer and entree, while snacks, sides and desserts are served family style, as they would be at a holiday meal at home.

Upon seating, guests receive a trio of shared snacks consisting of crispy sausage stuffed olives, potato pancakes with crème fraiche and wild caviar and maple-cured salmon gravlox. For the first course, cioppino with bay shrimp, Dungeness crab and tomato saffron broth or endive salad with candied walnuts, Fiji apples and Point Reyes blue cheese are offered.

For an entrée, guests have a choice of four hearty dishes: prime rib roast with pan drippings and Yorkshire pudding, apple wood smoked Berkshire pork loin and roast sweet potato, roast turkey with corn bread stuffing, giblet gravy and cranberries and pan-roasted “diver” scallops with heirloom grits. Family style sides served with the meal are crispy oven roasted potatoes and warm Brussels sprouts with toasted hazelnut and blood orange.

To finish, four family style desserts are presented, including peppermint chocolate cream pie, black and white bread pudding, brown butter cranberry tart with maple ice cream and a Christmas cookie assortment.

What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than by sipping one of Simon’s specialty cocktails? The festive holiday libations include Frosty the Snowman made with Pyrat XO Rum, Malibu Caribbean Rum, butterscotch schnapps and crème coconut garnished with shredded coconut and a Peppermint Mojito, comprised of Cruzan 10 Rum Light, rock candy and crushed fresh peppermint.
